As we celebrate the first anniversary of Jua Craft Mama's, we find ourselves reflecting on a journey filled with challenges, triumphs, and incredible growth. What began as a small initiative has blossomed into a thriving social enterprise with meaningful impact.

Where It All Began

Jua Craft Mama's started with a simple but powerful vision: to provide economic opportunities for women affected by gender-based violence while promoting sustainable crafting practices. With just five artisans and a small workshop, we began creating our first collection of handcrafted jewelry and home décor items.

Key Milestones

Over the past year, we've achieved several significant milestones:

• Expanded our artisan community from 5 to over 25 talented craftswomen
• Launched four seasonal collections featuring over 50 unique products
• Established partnerships with three local retailers and two international fair trade organizations
• Implemented comprehensive training programs in both traditional and contemporary crafting techniques
• Diverted over 1,000 kg of waste materials from landfills through our recycling initiatives
