Jua Craft Mama's Shines at U.S. Embassy Tanzania Exhibition
Jua Craft Mama's Shines at U.S. Embassy Tanzania Exhibition On March 14th, 2025, Jua Craft Mama's had the esteemed privilege of participating in the U.S. Embassy Tanzania Exhibition/AMELESA Market, an exclusive platform that brought together creative entrepreneurs, alumni of U.S. State Department programs, and the Embassy community. Led by our passionate Founder and Executive Director, Ms. Jerusa Kitoto, this event was more than a market. It was a celebration of innovation, resilience, and community-led change. We proudly showcased our latest handcrafted product lines, each piece telling a story of empowerment, sustainability, and hope. A Vision Shaped by Global Knowledge, Local Impact The vision and foundation of Jua Craft Mama's have been enriched by multiple transformative leadership and entrepreneurship programs. While YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa (RLC EA), a U.S. State Department-funded program, played a foundational role through its Civic Leadership track, our growth has also been shaped by the following impactful programs: • UPG Biashara Program – United People Global • Women Creating Wealth Intergenerational Program – Graça Machel Trust • Young Women Leadership Program – CARE Tanzania and Mwanamke Initiative Foundation • Project KUONGOZA Accelerator Program – STEMi Makers Africa • AMEL Institute Program • Young Citizens Forum – Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung • East African Human Rights Program – TUSONGE and Equitas These programs have collectively nurtured our mission by equipping us with business acumen, social innovation tools, and deep understanding of human rights, democracy, and inclusion. Each lesson continues to shape how we design our products, work with communities, and advocate for sustainable development. Partnerships That Advance Purpose Participating at the U.S. Embassy was especially meaningful given its role in supporting human rights and international cooperation. We were honored to share space with fellow change-makers and connect directly with members of the Embassy staff, sparking new ideas and inspiration for future collaborations. We thank the U.S. Embassy Tanzania for this valuable opportunity and all our supporters who stopped by our booth to engage, encourage, and celebrate our work.
